The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is a leading nonprofit organization serving approximately 114,000 food insecure individuals per month across central and western Virginia, with an operating budget of $8 million. The Food Bank is seeking a Chief Financial Officer who is responsible for financial statements, tax filings, operating budgets, financial forecasting, cash management, grant accounting and managing the relationship with auditors and the Finance Committee of the Board. Will implement financial policies and procedures, ensure ERISA, state and federal requirements are met. Supervises one staff member who performs general accounting, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory and fixed assets. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related degree and CPA required. Extensive experience in a senior level finance and budget position with ability to provide strong leadership and fiscal direction to the organization. Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial data, develop reports and make decisions required. Individual must be able to work independently and as a team member. Experience in a nonprofit desired. Position is full time with a competitive salary and benefit package and located at our Verona facility.
